The project involved a literature review and a wide-ranging consultation with education practitioners, parents, pupils and adults on the autism spectrum. The findings of the research were used to develop a Progression Framework that was made available to schools via the AET website. It will cover key reform areas including access to services, healthcare, education, and employment. It will help to guide a more coordinated, national approach supporting autistic people at each stage of life.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/engage.dss.gov.au\/developing-the-national-autism-strategy\/draft-strategy\/\">draft National Autism Strategy<\/a>\u00a0was released by the Department of Social Services for public feedback from 2 April 2024 to 31 May 2024. The newest slate of IACC members was appointed in July 2021 under the Autism CARES Act of 2019. The current Committee is the largest and most diverse todate.
